Take the National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation

The National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation, a city-friendly competition, is underway through April 30. Take the pledge now! Last year Tucson won the competition among similar-sized cities.

Residents are encouraged to save water by doing simple things, such as fixing leaky faucets and using low-flow fixtures. Even turning off lights saves water, since many power plants are major water users.

Participants in cities with the highest number of pledges are eligible for prizes donated by the Wyland Foundation and several other organizations. Pledges are tallied by area zip codes, not official city limits
