Key elements of public involvement in the project's Planning & Design phase include:

Citizens Task Force
TDOT has selected a 13-member Citizens Task Force (CTF) to represent the community as the Planning & Design work is performed. The CTF will work with the project team to evaluate the roadway alignment and cross section widths and provide input, review and approval of land use and urban design concepts. CTF members will share project information with, and gather input from, local property owners, businesses, residents and neighborhood associations.  View the CTF's page on this web site for more information and copies of meeting materials.

Community-wide Meetings
Throughout the Planning & Design Phase, the public will be invited to learn about the project's progress and provide their input.  Invitations will be mailed to those residents, property owners, and businesses within the project study area; emails will be sent to those on the notification list; and, the print, television and radio media, as well as social media platforms, will be used.  View more information about these meetings below.

Business Outreach
The RTA MainStreet Business Program will provide essential assistance to information to affected business owners, and offers various services to support them.  An emphasis to include the perspectives of the business community will be made throughout this project, by notifying them of opportunities to be involved and to learn about the project.  Examples include CTF meetings, individual meetings, workshops and other public meetings, and project updates.  View more information at the MainStreet web site, or review the Business page on this web site.
