On Thursday, January 16, 2014, the contractor will switch traffic control from the temporary traffic signals to the new permanent traffic signals at the Granada Avenue and St. Mary’s Road intersection. During the work and until the new traffic signals are in operation, Tucson Police officers will direct traffic through the intersection. The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and be complete by 3 p.m.

This project consists of installing sidewalk improvements along the roadway on Park Avenue between Speedway and Ft. Lowell. Improvements will include installing additional bike path where needed, earthen type pedestrian improvements, and landscaping improvements.

During the work and until the new temporary traffic signals are in operation, Tucson Police officers will direct traffic through the intersection. The switch-over is scheduled to be complete by 4 p.m. the same day.
