The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) is the lead agency on this multi-agency funded project.

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Plan includes project #17 as: widen Broadway to 6 travel lanes, plus 2 dedicated bus lanes; bike lanes; and sidewalks.

As part of the current Planning & Design Phase work, this project scope is being reviewed, along with other possible roadway configuration alternatives.

Median Island and Roadside Maintenance Project Update

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) and The Groundskeeper are nearly 30 days into a four-month citywide clean-up of median islands and roadsides in an intense effort to remove weeds, debris and dead plants along arterial roadways with higher traffic volumes.
