The fifteenth annual Vail Pride Day will be held on Saturday, February 15th at the Pima County Fairgrounds, 11300 S. Houghton Road. The festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 5:30 p.m.

Pima County Housing Center is hosting a free Housing Recovery Event on Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On May 16, 2006, voters in Pima County approved a $2.1 billion regional transportation plan to be funded by a 1/2 percent sales tax and to be executed over 20 years expiring on June 30, 2026. The $2.1 billion revenue forecast was produced by the Economic and Business Research Center at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. There are 3 issues that have increased the property tax:
1) Increase allowed by the State law 2% 2) Increase related to Insurance Tort and ... 3) Loss of revenue based on a reduction of sales tax revenue
