Beginning Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at approximately 9 a.m., westbound Tanque Verde Road will be reduced to two travel lanes. In the westbound direction of travel, the dedicated right turn lane will be closed for approximately six weeks to allow work crews to reconstruct the northeast corner of the intersection. The westbound outside through lane will be closed for approximately four days.

The 5th Annual Historic Miracle Mile Open House and Tour will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to Noon, with a pre-tour beginning at 8 a.m. Free parking, free event information, free talks, and free shuttles to free tour sites will be offered at the Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus, located at Speedway Boulevard and Stone Avenue. This half-day event celebrates the history and ongoing revitalization of the Historic Miracle Mile area.

What: Unveiling of the new Urban Wildlife Oasis sign in Ft. Lowell Park. This is a large sign composed of wildlife images taken at the park by local photographers. There is a major emphasis on "bird watching"; the sign is beautiful and functional.

The City of Tucson will adopt its final property tax levy for Fiscal Year 2013 at a hearing on June 19, 2012. The Arizona Constitution and Arizona Revised Statutes specify a property tax levy limitation system. This system consists of two levies, a limited levy known as the primary property tax levy and an unlimited levy referred to as the secondary property tax levy.

Easter activities at Sentinel Peak Park ("A" Mountain) will impact public use of the site from 1-6 p.m. on Friday, April 6 and again on the morning of Easter Sunday, April 8.
The Good Friday Procession (La Procession de Viernes Santo) and Easter Sunday Sunrise Services (La Misa al Amaneser) have been held for more than 22 years.
Tucson Parks and Recreation staff will close the park to cars and vehicular traffic at Noon on Friday, April 6. Gates will be closed to the public at this time.
