The office of the Independent Police Auditor (IPA) audits investigations of citizen complaints of misconduct by Tucson police officers. Its involvement is to determine if the investigation was complete, thorough, objective and fair.
The IPA reviews completed investigations independently from the Tucson Police Department's Office of Professional Standards and may monitor ongoing investigations.
A complaint can be made in person, by telephone, by fax at 791-5140, in writing, or via the Internet. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
