STITELER ASKS RIO NUEVO DISTRICT TO CONTRIBUTE $2.5M FOR DOWNTOWN HOTEL PROJECT - Downtown property developer Scott Stiteler is asking the Rio Nuevo board for $2.5M in tax abatement on a 135-room, six-story hotel planned for a lot on Fifth Ave. just north of Congress St. Stiteler is also seeking property tax abatement for the hotel project, through the City's GPLET program. DM TRANING EXERCISE STARTS TODAY FOR U.S. MILITARY HELICOPTERS - Today through next Wednesday, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will host six CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters from Marine Heavylift Helicopter Squadron 465 out of the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar, Calif. The Super Stallions and their crews are here to conduct training in nearby desert mountain terrain, in preparation for overseas deployments.
