OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR EMPLOYEE INSURANCE BENEFITS BEGINS MAY 16 – The City Manager’s Office encourages all employees to mark their calendars for the City’s upcoming open enrollment period for employee insurance benefits. This year’s open enrollment period is May 16th thru May 31st. Employees are also urged to make sure their mailing addresses are correct in the City’s payroll system, as packets containing benefit information will be mailed to employees’ homes the second week of May. BLOCK PARTY TO CLOSE PENNINGTON STREET TOMORROW – Beginning Friday, April 26, 2013 from approximately noon until 8 p.m. Pennington Street between Stone Avenue and Scott Avenue will be closed to accommodate City High School’s annual Pennington Street Block Party. COUNTY BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON SOCCER UPGRADES FOR KINO SPORTS COMPLEX – Fans of semi-pro soccer team FC Tucson will soon be able to enjoy games from a new, multimillion-dollar facility at the Kino Sports Complex, complete with a covered grandstand and plenty of new seating. The new facility is part of a $2.8M upgrade plan from that also includes improvements to other soccer fields at the complex. FC Tucson, which launched in 2010, says they hope to bring more youth, amateur and professional soccer to the facility. From KOLD/KMSB.
