The City of Tucson is participating in the DOE-funded Rooftop Solar Challenge along with the Governors Office of Energy Policy, and representatives from the City of Flagstaff, City of Tucson, Arizona State University's Global Institute of Sustainability, and SmartPower. Arizona is one of 22 teams across the country. The goal of this program is to reduce the soft costs of installing solar energy systems by streamlining permitting, encouraging innovative funding opportunities, standardizing interconnection processes, and promoting solar energy as a planning goal of municipalities across the state.
As part of the Rooftop Solar Challenge, the City of Tucson presents a FREE webinar series discussing strategies to encourage solar installations in your community.
