On Monday, March 10, 2014, St. Mary’s Road will be reduced to one travel lane in each direction from the westbound I-10 frontage road to Church Avenue. This restriction will be in place while the contractor completes street lighting and landscape installation. This work is scheduled to be complete at the end of this month.
Left turn movements at the intersection of Granada Avenue and St. Mary’s Road will be maintained. Access to Davis Elementary Road will be maintained, as well as all side street access.
The final layer of pavement is scheduled to be placed at the end of this month. The final roadway striping will be installed along the roadway in late April, after the asphalt pavement has had time to cure.
The $7.3 million RTA-funded project began in November 2012. The voter-approved, $2.1 billion RTA plan will be implemented through 2026. Details about the full plan are available at www.RTAmobility.com. The RTA has a nine-member board with representatives from local, state and tribal governments. While funded through the RTA, the above projects will be managed by TDOT.
