On Monday, April 8, 2013, at approximately 11 p.m., the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) and Falcone Brothers & Associates, Inc. will shift traffic from the north side of Grant Road to the south side of the road so that demolition work can begin on the north side of Grant Road. On Oracle Road, traffic will shift from the east side to the west side of Oracle Road, again for demolition work. These two traffic shifts will be completed by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Message boards are in place to advise the traveling public of this upcoming traffic shift.

The public should be advised that portions of permanent median curbing have been installed, and turning lane restrictions will now become permanent.

Also, please note that there are bump sections with uneven pavement in the intersection of Grant Road and Oracle Road where temporary asphalt ramps have been installed. Use caution in these areas and please obey all reduced speed limit signs.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling or walking in these work areas. Business and residential access will be maintained to the extent possible with only short, infrequent closures when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
