On Monday, March 18, 2013, and Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Hunter Contracting will close Irvington Road at Houghton Road to tie in water lines. This work will be conducted at night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., and Tucson Police officers will be present to direct traffic through the area.
Additional night work will continue for the next two weeks. This work will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday until the work is completed. This night work will be at the following locations, one location at a time:
- Civano Boulevard
- Hoofprint Stables - North of Irvington, south of the bridge
- Seven Generations Way
- Bilby Road
- Forest Glen Street
- Poorman Road
The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling or walking in these work areas during these lane restrictions. Business and residential access will be maintained to the extent possible with only short, infrequent closures when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
