At this time, the Tucson Department of Transportation has determined that work on the Warren Avenue Underpass, beneath Speedway Boulevard at the University of Arizona, can move forward with speed and lane width reductions rather than the originally planned east and westbound travel lane restrictions.
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, the speed limit along Speedway Boulevard, between Cherry and Campbell Avenues, will be reduced to 30 mph and lane widths will be reduced from 12 feet to 11 feet in the area. The temporary lane width and speed limit reductions will be in place while work is completed on the Warren Avenue underpass.
