Oracle Road Closed South of Grant Road
Oracle Road south of Grant Road will be closed until approximately 6 a.m. tomorrow so that crews from Tucson Electric Power (TEP) can replace power poles and power lines that were knocked down earlier today. TEP crews will be working throughout the night to make the necessary repairs to open the roadway before tomorrow morning’s peak travel time.
Southbound travel on Oracle Road is being detoured to either eastbound or westbound Grant Road. Those traveling northbound on Oracle Road are being diverted to either Speedway Boulevard or Drachman Street.
Warren Avenue Underpass Work: Speedway Boulevard Travel Lane Restrictions Lifted
At this time, the Tucson Department of Transportation has determined that work on the Warren Avenue Underpass, beneath Speedway Boulevard at the University of Arizona, can move forward with speed and lane width reductions rather than the originally planned east and westbound travel lane restrictions.
Downtown Weekend Events - Travel Information
Downtown Tucson will be the host of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade on Sunday, March 17, 2013. The Festival will take place at Armory Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Parade will begin at 11 a.m. and commence at Stone Avenue and 17th Street, proceed north on Stone Avenue to Jackson Street, turns east and crosses Scott Avenue to Sixth Avenue and ends at Armory Park. Houghton Road: Irvington Road to Valencia Road
On Monday, March 18, 2013, and Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Hunter Contracting will close Irvington Road at Houghton Road to tie in water lines. This work will be conducted at night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., and Tucson Police officers will be present to direct traffic through the area.
Additional night work will continue for the next two weeks. This work will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday until the work is completed. This night work will be at the following locations, one location at a time:
Fords on Fourth - Travel Information
Fourth Avenue will be the host of the annual Fords on Fourth Car Show this Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees parking within the surrounding neighborhoods should exercise caution and observe any posted parking restrictions, as well as, not block private driveways, or to park too close (within 30 feet) to intersections. 2013 Pavement Preservation Program Fog Seal
Southern Arizona Paving, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) is continuing the Fog Seal portion of the 2013 Pavement Preservation Program. The work consists of crack sealing and patching where needed, and applying a Tire Rubber Modified Surface Seal (TRMSS) and new striping. This application will extend the life of the pavement another three years.
Crews will be working 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SunLink Tucson Streetcar Temporary Traffic Flow Change and Rain Delivery
The Sun Link Tucson Streetcar team is working closely with its contractor to make sure motorists traveling in the downtown area are able to reach their destinations safely and with as little delay as possible.
