Pima County Small Business Commission accepting nominations for 2013 Small Business of the Year Award
The Pima County Small Business Commission is accepting nominations for 2013 Small Business of the Year Awards.
Awards will be given to an urban small business and a rural small business. The urban small business winner will be located within the Tucson city limits. The rural small business winner will be in a rural or small community or any city or town outside the city of Tucson.
Each winner will also receive a $500 prize. The award program is sponsored by District 3 Supervisor Sharon Bronson and the Pima County Economic Development and Tourism Department.
• Be located in Pima County (may be a branch or division of a larger company).
• Have manager or owner who lives in Pima County.
• Employ fewer than 100 employees.
• Have been in operation for two or more years.
The nomination form is attached. Please submit the completed form and support material by mail, fax or email by 5 p.m. Monday, July 15, to:

The Small Business of the Year Award was presented to the Microbusiness Advancement Center in 2010; to Gasoline Alley, an automobile repair and restoration business in Green Valley, in 2011; and to the Joint Technical Education District in 2012.
The Pima County Small Business Commission is comprised of small business owners or managers who represent the business community throughout Pima County.
