Tucson Water, in partnership with the Pima County Cooperative Extension, offers the SmartScape Program, a landscape water conservation and education program which provides workshops, seminars, and field instruction specifically designed for Green Industry professionals and residential water users in the Tucson Active Management Area. The goal is to promote efficient water use in the landscape, which then has the potential to create savings in water, cost, maintenance, and energy.
Professional classes include Smartscape Training Program for Landscape Professionals, Turf Irrigation Management, Landscape Irrigation Auditor Training, Advanced Smartscape Modules and Smartscape Español.
Residential classes, include Hands-On Drip Irrigation and Controllers, Principles of Xeriscape, Rainwater Harvesting for Landscape Use, Landscape Water Budgeting, Desert Rain Gardens, and Basic Landscape Maintenance.
