The Department plans, funds and operates programs which assist Tucsonans, and families throughout Pima County, to improve their housing options, their neighborhoods, and their lives.

• INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE (IRC)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives after been forced to flee their homes because of war or persecution based on race, nationality, religious beliefs, or political opinions. The IRC in Tucson has welcomed over 3,000 refugees from over 23 countries as newcomers to the Tucson community. The IRC provides a variety of services including housing and cash assistance, counseling services, wellness promotion, youth development, access to health care, job search services, English classes, and U.S. citizenships preparation.

• OUR FAMILY/AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Two- and three-bedroom units, with no time limit, for families who income-qualify.
Utilities are included for some but not all units. Support services such as case management, financial education and basic-needs assistance are offered but are optional.
Rents range from $410-$550.
